Dr. George Parker serves as an experienced and committed higher education professional dedicated to supporting students particularly those from underrepresented backgrounds. Dr. Parker has spent his career working with programs which support minority students. As an alumni of the California State University System, Dr. Parker has several years of experience reviewing scholarships, graduate school applications, and has served on admission teams. Dr. Parker’s expansive experiences have taught him how to expertly review, enhance, and prepare college applications to achieve success.
Alex Guerrero has a Master’s of Science in Educational Leadership and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Minor in Psychology. His passion for this work emerged at as a first-generation, Latino student from a working-class background, where he experienced the educational inequities of the higher education system. It is through this experience that he recognized the importance that support programs have on a student’s college experience and developed a passion for helping underrepresented students navigate the higher education system. Alex has experience working with various student populations that include first-generation college students, low-income student, men of color, undocumented students, high achieving students, and transfer students. Alex approaches his work through an asset-based lens to help students identify and build upon their community cultural wealth.
